I am Leah. I am an artist. I love to share, learn and be creative. My creativity is vast and I enjoy creating many different types of art. I find myself trying to turn all kinds of material into something else. I see it as just the way my creative mind spins. Creativity is playfulness and that's a gift to have and share.I am an explorer or nature and my environment. I revel in both the minute and vast detail of the outside world. I find peace in reflection, observation, solitude and song. My works are currently showing at Jackson Street Gallery in Ridgeland MS, 3Houses Studio in Gluckstadt , MS, The Mulberry in Vicksburg, MS and by appointment The Countryhouse Studio in Madison County, Mississippi. My Story
I am a wife, mother, daughter and sister. Family is my center and my grounding. The last five years I have been on a personal journey to simplify life and share my journey celebrating life with grateful heart. My art comes from that place. A place of reflection, gratitude, imagination and happiness. Currently I live with my husband and create in my studio at 'The Country House' on our family farm in rural Madison County. I am also enjoy trail running, gardening, entertaining, and tending to an assortment of animals on the farm. I like to create things that I think are pretty. I lean towards colorful palletes, some bolder textures and feminine subjects. Leisurely relaxed, playful and enjoyable to look at are how I would describe my work. I frequently work on commissioned projects. Nothing is more satisfying than taking a clients words and wishes and jumping into it to create something for them to love and that warms my heart over and over.
